A Winning Collaboration at Bathurst

Bathurst is where motorsport dreams are made, and being part of Holy Smoke Racing’s winning journey at this iconic track was an honor.
Collaborating with the team to design not just their McLaren 570S GT4 livery, but also their team apparel, race suits, van graphics, pit walling, and even their team logo, was an incredibly rewarding experience—and seeing it all come together for a victory was the cherry on top.

Crafting a Unified Look

Holy Smoke Racing came to me with a clear goal: they wanted a cohesive visual identity that would stand out on and off the track. From the bold, dynamic livery for the #4 PIStore McLaren to stylish, functional team apparel and race suits, every element was designed to reflect their competitive spirit and professionalism.

The livery itself was inspired by the team’s ambition to make a bold statement at Bathurst while maintaining the perfect balance of sponsor visibility and striking aesthetics. The result was a design that not only turned heads but also perfectly matched the cutting-edge performance of their McLaren.

For the team’s Ford Transit van, pit walling, and logo, I carried the same visual theme across all assets, creating a unified identity that tied every element of their operation together seamlessly.

A Historic Win

Race day brought more than just excitement—it brought history. Drivers Grant Denyer and Anthony Soole secured a first-place finish in the Am category of the Monochrome GT4 Series. This marked the first-ever GT victory for a Kintsugi.fm design at Mount Panorama and added another incredible chapter to my journey as a designer in the motorsport world.

Fun fact: this was also the second Bathurst GT car livery I’ve designed for Grant Denyer, making it all the more special to see him and Anthony take the win.
